First impressions
Another Merivale success.

Totti’s is located at the back of the Royal Hotel on Bondi Rd and instantly transports you to any of the beautiful Italian restaurants in Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, Amalfi Coast or Calabria.
Totti’s has a relaxed, laid back lifestyle approach to it’s design with alfresco dining comprising of earthy tones, plenty of greenery, fresh air, minimal decoration and a timeless aesthetic.

The best spot is anywhere in the outdoor area, there’s nothing like fresh air, catching up with friends and sharing delicious food and drinks. If you’re lucky you’ll get a comfy banquette seat around the perimeter.

As with any Merivale venue Totti’s is the whole package. The signage, menu, specials boards, furniture, simple yet stunning presentation of food, fun cocktails, layout, lighting, authentic pizza oven, open kitchen and great wait staff are all on point.
As an interior designer my eyes pick up the design details and this design by Akin Atelier is another stunner. Totti’s is a very considered dining experience with fun elements such as the cactus pinned to the wall, green and white striped fabric on the outdoor banquette seats and a minimal palette.

Favourite design feature
The alfresco dining – two large olive trees are cleverly planted in the outdoor courtyard, creating the sense of dining in the Mediterranean with relaxed atmosphere and fresh air.

Creative solution/ quirk
Renovating an area of an old pub to bring in new patrons and interest in the venue.

Favourite beverage/ food
We loved the wood fired bread with oil and a pinch of salt, the spinach linguine and lamb ragu with pappardelle were delicious and a glass of rosé to accompany was perfection.

Our next visit will be to try the main share plates consisting of the fish of the day with some delicious salads, plus we’ll need to save room for dessert next time! The tiramisu looked delicious.
